About the Institution: Boy Scouts & Girls Guides of Libya is a nongovernmental organization, which primary source of funding is international donors, local foundations, and the government. The organization works with children from 5-15 years old, and adolescence from 16-18 years old in mixed gender targeting (55% males + 45% females). The status of the target group: Students, and Out-of-School Children. The programme target vulnerable or high risk groups including: Youth, Minority ethnic groups and Displaced Populations.
Life Skills-Related: The programme title is “Stop Violence” sessions targeting primary and secondary Awareness sessions on unexploded ordnance, and it aims at raising awareness of violence to put an end to it. Thematic areas under which life skills are addressed include: Health, and Disaster Risk Reduction, mine risks, other risks, etc. The main topics through which life skills education takes place in the programme are: HIV and AIDS and sexual/reproductive health.
