About the Institution: Education & Anti illiterate Society is nongovernmental organization that is funded by international donors and by its own sources too. It started working on life skills programs during the past few years. It targets children and adolescences from 5 to 17 years old, and works with youth too from 18 to 24 years old from both sexes. It works with students, dropped out children, unemployed youth, entrepreneurs, and children of affected families. It also target vulnerable and high risk groups including Youth, the Poor, Working children, especially those carrying out hazardous or exploitative work, Displaced population, and Refugees.
Life Skills-Related: The programme Education & Anti illiterate Society implements is Basic Life Skills for Youth funded by UNECIF and it been implemented during the past three years. The programmes main objective is Enhancing human resources and capacity development. Thematic areas under which life skills are addressed include: Curricular disciplines (e.g. languages, science, maths, etc.),Vocational disciplines (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, etc.), ICT (e.g. Computer literacy, social media, etc.), Health, Environment, Disaster Risk Reduction, mine risks, other risks, etc, Conflict resolution, civics, and Arts, culture, sports.
