About the Institution: Juhoud for Community and Rural development is a Palestinian non-governmental, nonprofit organization founded in 2003. Juhoud is committed to support community development in marginalized rural areas through the promotion of economic development civic engagement, and community education and training. Since its inception, Juhoud has contributed in improving the social and economic situation of many Palestinian families through investing the available local resources. Juhoud also worked and is working on promoting the participation of young people in their local communities and creating job opportunities for them.
Life Skills-Related: The project title is “Employability & Entrepreneurship”. The type of life skills that used by our program were priorities upon the needs of our targeted youth and women in the rural areas of Palestine. In 2013 Juhoud in cooperation with other local partners developed a nee assessment for the needs of Palestinian youth in the rural areas, as a result of the assessment the needed life skills for youth were classified upon their qualification, educational backgrounds, and matched to the requirements of employers’ needs.
