Peace Bridge Association


About the Institution: Peace Bridge Association is devoted to reduce tension and conflicts amongst Sudanese communities through promotion of situations of youth and children in difficult circumstances, by introducing the sustainable solutions of empowerment, capacity building and support in the main sectors of Peace building, Street children and Human Rights. The association targets children from 5-15 years old, adolescence from 16 to 17 years old, and youth from 18 to 24 years old and older, in mixed gender targeting of 60% males, and 40% females. The status of the target group: Students, Out-of-School Children, Employed, and Unemployed. The programme target vulnerable or high risk groups including Women, Youth, Poor, Gender based violence victims, and Working children, especially those carrying out.

Life Skills-Related: The programme is a multi strands one focusing on: Reintegrating of children to their families, Psychosocial support, Environment protection, INEE trainings, Micro finance, and Early marriage. The main goal of the programme: Enhancing human resources and capacity development. Thematic areas under which life skills are addressed include: Health, Environment, Disaster Risk Reduction, mine risks, other risks, etc, Conflict resolution, civics, etc, Arts, culture, sports, and micro finance. The main topics through which life skills education takes place in the programme are: Health promotion, disease prevention, Healthy lifestyle, nutrition, hygiene and safe behaviour, Social and emotional learning and psychosocial support, Disaster risk reduction, Participation/rights of children and young people, Livelihoods (generic skills) and financial literacy, Civic engagement.
